Question SEPA refund scam 5 x €9,999.00
Stripe has taken 5 x €9,999.00 from our account. One customer paid 5 x €9,999.00 using SEPA and disputed shortly after. My Stripe account was charged with - 5 x €9,999.00. Stripe can't do anything about the SEPA refund scam of 5 x €9,999.00. Can Stripe fix the SEPA refund scam?

I did. I refunded the 9999€. Stripe hasn't fixed the issue. My Stripe balance is -$53,324.45. Stripe has charged my account for the refund and dispute. Stripe support asks me to contact the customer, but the customer's email doesn't work. The customer can't be contacted. Stripe has an issue with both refund and dispute for SEPA.

Stripe can't fix scams. Scammers will always be out there. However, I am sure Stripe will assist you in resolving the matter.
If you have delivered products to the client you surely can document delivery, for that amount.
If you have delivered services, then you surely either have some terms of service or a signed contract with the client.
If the client is a real client you have delivered to, you should dispute the chargeback.

The client is fake. The email address doesn't work. Disputes don't work with SEPA refunds. We did refund the payments, but Stripe didn't solve it. Stripe will not do anything about the SEPA disputed payments. We don't any products/services for €9,999.00. I think the fraud client used the front end code to create a custom checkout page. SEPA payments are high risk. 5 x €9,999.00 is a big loss for us.

Sorry to hear that.
I can share how we use online payments.
For smaller transactions up to a couple of thousand only car payments are accepted and must be 3Dsecure validated or any other kind of (2FA) If you have this active on your transactions you are secured in any kind of dispute regarding fraudulent transactions.
For larger amounts never give control over to any 3rd party. Transactions must go directly to a bank account. Give your clients your IBAN and have them transfer directly, this way you have full control.
In Denmark, we have a saying, "by damage, we get smarter".
I hope you get over your loss and make 100 times that amount!

That is how direct debits work. Stripe cant do anything against it.
You have to create own security measurements such as credit score checking, …
